Deanna's mediation journey began as a volunteer at the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) in Houston, Texas, where she gained valuable experience working with surrounding counties, including Harris, Tarrant, and Fort Bend. She honed her skills further while working under Judge Burney's Court at Harris County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 7, Place 2. With over eight years of legal experience and a Communications background. Deanna has a unique perspective that adds value to exploring options and achieving wider understanding in resolving differences.

Deanna's credentials include the Credentialed Advanced Mediator designation through the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, and membership with TAM, the Texas Association of Mediation Organizations. Tarrant County Association of Mediators and a member of TMTR . She continues to participate in ongoing training to expand her knowledge and educate as a mediator in Texas.

Deanna is a skilled educator who has trained and instructed attorneys, law professionals, counselors, teachers, and non-experienced paraprofessionals in the art of mediation. Her Master 40-hour Basic Training Mediation Course incorporates multicultural diversity values, social awareness, marketing, mediation ethics, interactive role-playing mediation, communication, and safety. With a flexible and interactive teaching approach, Deanna brings a dynamic perspective to the field, introducing new mediation programs that adhere to both licensed attorneys and non-attorney mediator standards.In addition to her classroom instruction, Deanna offers virtual and in-person office training for human resource and management teams seeking to improve their workplace conflict mediation capabilities.
